Differences between England and our own country:
Well my own country is Germany. Germany is situated near England and both countries were influenced in the past by the Saxons. So the culture and so on is not so different:
The landscape is the same. The weather, well in Germany it doesn't change so often but we have similar temperatures and rain in the middle of the summer, too. I like some english food and there is some I don't, but it is not so different from ours as it would be for example with african food.
There is a big difference in the politics: In Germany there are no Lords, kings and so on. So we don't use our old places or castles and we haven't got parades of the queengards or something like this . To be honest I would like to have some soldiers armed with old weapons only for the tradition in Germany, too.
Nevertheless in my time here I gained a really good impression of Englands culture

Yesterday we had our trip to London. It was my first time in London and I must say London is a cool city. It's full of old buildings and it has a lot of interessting things. We saw the Westminterhall, Big Ben, the heavy guarded primeminister's house, the Queenguards and Buckingham Palace. The Queengards are quite funny with their armour, sabers and horses. I'm not sure if they're so effective protecting the Queen but their're cool.
After the tour we went to the British Museum. Some things were interessting like the old weapons others a bit boring. The best thing of the Museum was the ice-cream shop infront of it.^^

Hey, I'm Patric.
I'm 16 years old and I'm from Germany. I live in Verden a town near Bremen. (although I'm not a Werder Bremen fan) I was some time in Spain, so I can speak Spanish, too.
I'll spend 2 weeks in Queenswood and I hope I'll spend a great time...
